Visions of Albion:

Monday 10 June Visions of Albion: Enchanted Landscapes in English Art Ruth Clydesdale Tonight we go on pilgrimage through the magical land of Albion, where the landscape is transformed around us into the Paradise that is the natural home of the human heart. Visionary artists from Samuel Palmer to Cecil Collins map the way through countryside where a Mage performs magic in his lonely tower and a Fool watches over a herd of unicorns.  We stop by some of the cinematic imagery in Powell and Pressburger films and even take in a little music from Peter Warlock.  Ruth Clydesdale is an experienced art lecturer with a longstanding interest in the hermetic tradition . Price: £7 Time:  7.15pm  for a  7.30pm  start. Treadwell’s events sell out quickly, so book a place by calling us on 020 7419 8507 with card details. Payment in person to the shop in opening hours also welcome, and we accept Paypal. All evening lectures are followed by drinks. Treadwell's Books 33 Store Street Bloomsbury London
