GALLERY DETAILS:
 
The Menier Gallery offers a dramatic space to view and exhibit works of contemporary art and design. The gallery is situated within the historic Menier Chocolate Factory, minutes from London Bridge, Borough Market and Tate Modern. The gallery is located at the heart of one of London’s artistic hubs, andattracts many visitors, including art lovers, theatregoers, local residents and tourists.
 
The venue has approx 110m of linear wall space and 140 m2 of floor space.
 
 
 
SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
 
Friday 1st November: Submission form and images of proposed work
 
Friday 8th November: Selection of work notification
 
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF WORK:
 
Delivery dates:  Sunday 1st December at the Menier Gallery – 10 – 11am
 
Collection Dates: Saturday 7th December – 4pm
                          
Private Views: Tuesday 3rd December - 6pm till 9pm
                         
 
EXHIBITION THEME:
 
No theme – open to all 2D and 3D work except photography
 
 
EXHIBITION CHARGES:
 
Submission fees:
 
FPS Members – Free 
Non FPS members £30 for up to 3 works and £5 each for subsequent entries
 
 
 Exhibition Hanging Fees:
 
£50 per metre of wall space for 2D works
 
£50 per sculpture (negotiable depending on size and amount)
 
FPS sales commission: 30% + VAT
 
ENTRY CONDITIONS:
 
This exhibition will be a highly competitive show that will be open to all members and guests artists. We expect to able to showcase up to 50 artists, which will make it the largest FPS exhibition for several decades.
 
Framing:
 
All framed works must be of high quality and contemporary in style (no gold gilt frames etc unless absolutely necessary please)
All works must have D-rings (not mirror plates) as no drilling is permitted in gallery.
 
Stewarding the exhibition:
 
The exhibition will need invigilation throughout the week and with circumstances allowing - all exhibiting artists will be expected to be available for at least one sitting. A roster and invigilation details will be supplied nearer the time.
 
Submitted work:
 
Only work that has been selected will be included in the show, although there will be provision for small unframed but mounted prints in plastic sleeves for the print racks.
 
Artist promotion material:
 
Can I please encourage all artists to get business cards and postcards printed and individual artist’s catalogues can be sold.
 
Exhibition Insurance:
 
Although great care will be taken of the work and Liability insurance will be provided by FPS for the show, artists are encouraged to have their own personal liability and artwork insurance.
 
FPS cannot be held liable for any damage or theft of exhibited artworks.
 
 
Exhibition hanging:
 
The FPS exhibitions team will hang the show alongside the Menier Gallery technician.
 
Once the hanging is agreed, the exhibition as a whole is the responsibility of the gallery curators until the work is due to come down. Any changes or alterations for the duration of the exhibition are the responsibility of the curator.
 
Collection and Delivery of work:
 
Exhibiting artists must ensure prompt collection and delivery within the timings specified – uncollected work will be left with the gallery to dispose of.
