POETRY at the KING & QUEEN 28th February BOB DEVEREUX & SUE JOHNS

Dear poetry lovers
Just to remind you of our first show of 2018 at the King & Queen, Foley Street, W1.  We are delighted to feature two poets with Cornish roots who are among the strongest performers around.   Poet, artist and storyteller Bob Devereux is travelling up from St Ives while London-based, Cornish raised Sue Johns will weigh in with some great verse of her own.
As ever floor readers are welcome and may like to read  something with a Cornish theme (optional) - sign up by 7pm for an unmissable evening in a welcoming local.
Hope to see you there,
Regards,
Patric Cunnane

POETRY
 at the  KING &QUEEN
Wednesday 28th February, 7.30pm
 BOB DEVEREUX
Based near St Ives, Cornwall, Bob is an outstanding poet, storyteller, librettist and artist. Savour an extended set during this rare chance to see him in London. His work embraces humour, pathos, landscape and deep human emotion, all delivered in richly resonant west country tones.
 SUE JOHNS
Sue continues the evening's Cornish theme. She grew up near Penzance and has since moved to London. Her lyrical work embraces Cornish history; politics both personal and political; feminism and the warp and woof of living in a challenging urban environment. She can also be very funny.
