Great new exhibitions for the summer

I am delighted to be letting you all know about my new exhibitions for the summer. The hot news is the Royal Society of Sculptors summer exhibition. 'Vinculum' was selected by Greville Worthington, the chair of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I shall be sending out further details shortly.
I hope that I shall bump into you at one of the shows and that we keep in touch!
Three drawings have been selected for exhibition at the Lightbox Gallery in Woking and will be on show until


 
25th August https://www.thelightbox.org.uk/parallel-lines-drawing-and-sculpture. This exhibtion asked sculptors to respond to a sculpture in the Ingrams Collection. The image above is in response to  'Ghost Ship' by John Behan

Finally, Semwaiko Blue (bronze) has been selected for a group exhibition in the Muse Gallery with the Free Painters and Sculptors.

Typically based on specific areas, be they counties, cities, districts or whatever, it involves artists inviting members of the public to visit their studios, to meet and talk with them, and to view their output. And it is always an added attraction if they can see artists at work. The area of West Sussex centred on Chichester has a particularly lively tradition, and is rich in creative talent, as the writer discovered on a recent visit. The occasion for this was to renew acquaintance with Max Birne, a former FPS personality, who has recently moved house from Wembley, where he had lived for many years, to Selsey, near Eric Coates’s ‘Sleepy Lagoon’.
