Embracing the Void is a solo exhibition of glass sculpture by Notting Hill artist Catherine Morgan Thomas. Her emotionally engaging work is inspired by the interplay of strength and fragility in glass, its ethereal quality and inherent luminescence.

An accomplished sculptor and designer, Morgan Thomas pushes boundaries both in terms of the material itself and in exploring the concept of light in its broadest sense. Responding to the unique setting of the 18th century ice house at the heart of Holland Park, the central piece of the exhibition is inspired by a theme from the movie Avatar, with 'I see you you see me' representing the essence of existence that connects us all.

With Embracing the Void the artist explores notions of loneliness, connection and light. Visitors are invited to engage with the work as vessels of discovery, to reveal their own truths by connecting with the void within.
