Alexandra Harley is delighted to be showing in an exhibition of small works by London Group members at Croydon Art Space.

The London Group is the UK’s longest-running and most prestigious artists’ collective, founded in 1913 by 32 artists including Walter Sickert, Jacob Epstein, Wyndham Lewis, David Bomberg, who created a unique structure for an organisation, that has gone on to successfully nurture the careers of many of Britain’s best-known artists.

Typically based on specific areas, be they counties, cities, districts or whatever, it involves artists inviting members of the public to visit their studios, to meet and talk with them, and to view their output.   It gives me great pleasure to tell you about my next exhibition, especially as I was asked to co-curate the sculpture with Andrew Revell. We had a great time putting it together and I am sure you will enjoy it, there is something for everyone!  It is a very eclectic mix of work which looks great together, with some beautiful relationships between the sculpture and printmaking too. Collective Influence: the 2018 Shape Open

Collective Influence We're delighted to announce that the 2018 Shape Open - the UK’s premier disability-led group exhibition - will take place at The Art Pavilion, Mile End, London from 22 March to 5 April. This year's theme is "Collective Influence", featuring artwork created by both disabled and non-disabled artists in response to provocations such as: what influences you? How does influence go further than inspiration? What power does influence have to provoke change, and what capacity does it have to affect society?
